This work was commissioned by William P. Daley, internationally renowned clay artist. Ricardo Morales, principal clarinetist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, gave the world premiere performance in April, 2005, and two months later featured it on his recital at the prestigious University of Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium.
